Specify the purpose

Explain where the image will appear and what viewers need to understand. A website hero, product listing and social carousel require different compositions.

Describe the product precisely

List the important shapes, materials, packaging details and proportions. Use approved reference assets when available. A beautiful image is not useful if it misrepresents the product.

Set the visual rules

Define the palette, lighting, camera angle and background. Describe the desired negative space and where text will sit. Keep the brief focused rather than stacking unrelated styles.

Review before using

Check product accuracy, readable text, visual artefacts and whether the asset communicates the intended message. Keep human review in the production process.

Be clear about concept work

Label speculative case-study work as a concept. Do not present generated scenes as proof of a real location, client project or business result. A clear description lets the creative idea stand on its own.
